03/10/25 Dream 2: I had a dream that I was a young female monster living amongst Asriel and Chara. Strangely I was referred to as my standard name still “Ashley,” but my form was completely different. I was a grey furred boss monster, and I had super perky and cute boobs. I remember we would always meet up at this Central Park type area in Snowdin, wherein we would try to find a place to get and smoke our drugs. We were talking here one day, until suddenly, papyrus came up to us and said “HEY GUYS, CHECK THIS OUT!” As he passed us a bag of crank and a bag of xans. I took both of them, and then Asriel and Chara were looking at me eagerly. I knew what to do, so I mixed up a shot of crank for me, Asriel, and Chara, using the fresh Snowdin ice and Asriel’s fire magic. I handed them all their needles, and then proceeded to load up a sheet of foil with some more crank for me and papyrus. I took a fairly small shot of crank, before I then grabbed a lighter and me and papyrus began to smoke. I asked papyrus after taking a massive hit “so how’s the royal guard thing going?” To which papyrus responded to me “OH, THAT SILLY UNDYNE SAYS I DON’T MEET THE ‘AGILITY’ and ‘INTELLIGENCE’ requirements! THIS SHOULD HELP ME THOUGH!” And I was like “Hell yeah, you go papyrus!” Papyrus then kept smoking fervently, as I took smaller and more ladylike hits of the stuff. Asriel then piped in, saying “you know, papyrus… if you want to get into the royal guard, maybe I could help.” But before Asriel could even get a response, papyrus ripped the foil sheet from my hands , saying “I’M GONNA SMOKE THE REST OF THIS AND THEN REAPPLY FOR THE ROYAL GUARD,” as he ran off into the Snowdin cave. Chara then asked me in a seductive tone as she winked at me “hey Ashley, how bout that new monster body? It’s filled with determination, a lot of determination,” To which I looked down in shock at my bust, only to see that smoking the crank had filled me with so much determination that my boobs had quadrupled in size. I told her “That’s Awesome! But we should go home and get food now, I’m starving.” Asriel and Chara then nodded, as they went to run through the backwoods of Snowdin back home. I decided to take the main road of Snowdin back home. The walk went well and good, until near the entrance, Toriel approached me. She grabbed me roughly by the shoulder as she said “you don’t look okay, my child. Have you been doing any naughty things out there in the woods with my son?” I then went to reply to Toriel, but all that came out was stutters. Toriel then yelled “you’re coming with me!” In a really ominous and not motherly voice as she began to drag me into the ruins. I then woke up in intense fear, the phantom high still flowing through my veins. FIN. I awoke with quite the intense phantom high, feeling very stimulated and manic, as even my pupils were quite wide. I also awoke a bit nicotine deprived as well, but otherwise okay. Despite the surreal and incoherent nature of this dream, I didn’t think it was that bad overall, just a rather unexpected sort of dream I guess.
This dream presents a rich tapestry of imagery and symbolism that is both vibrant and surreal, indicative of complex emotions and desires intertwined with themes of identity, acceptance, and self-discovery.
Monster Identity and Transformation: In this dream, you embody a "young female monster," uniquely named "Ashley," which signifies a potential exploration of different facets of your identity. The shift from a human or traditional identity into a monster suggests a liberation from societal expectations, hinting at a deeper acceptance of your true self or the desire to break free from certain constraints. The reference to your "cute and perky" features might imply a sense of empowerment in embracing femininity and self-esteem, even as you navigate a world that might not readily accept it.
Setting in Snowdin: Snowdin, a location from the game “Undertale,” symbolizes warmth and comfort within an otherwise cold and secluded landscape. Your dream setting—a Central Park-like area—affirms a search for community and connection amid challenges, suggesting you find comfort among friends (Asriel and Chara) while engaging in escapist activities. This setting can also reflect a longing for a sanctuary where you can be yourself, free from judgment.
Substances and Escape: The usage of substances in the dream (crank and xans) denotes a search for escape, potentially hinting at feelings of anxiety, restlessness, or the desire for euphoria amid a stressful or unfulfilling reality. By merging drugs with the imaginative context of monster abilities (like Asriel's fire magic), you weave together elements of control and chaos, demonstrating an internal struggle with escapism versus confronting challenges directly.
Friendship and Support: The interactions with Papyrus, Asriel, and Chara in your dream reflect your close bond with friends and a sense of camaraderie. The conversation about Papyrus's aspirations highlights themes of ambition and various paths toward self-actualization. Asriel’s willingness to help conveys a sense of shared support in your social circles, perhaps conveying your own desire to be a source of encouragement for others while seeking it yourself.
Transformation and Reflection: Chara’s seductive reference to your newfound body and increased “determination” reflects a complex understanding of both your personal growth and physical transformation. It indicates that your journey involves embracing newfound confidence and perspectives. Your initial shock at your exaggerated appearance could point toward a playful critique of societal standards regarding body image, sexuality, and acceptance.
Parental Figures and Authority: The unexpected confrontation with Toriel introduces a critical examination of authority and nurture. Her transformation from a supportive mother figure to a more ominous presence signifies a fear of judgment or disapproval, especially concerning choices you’ve made or values you hold dear. The struggle to respond could indicate feelings of vulnerability and fear tied to maternal or parental expectations in your waking life.
Ending and Emotional Residue: Waking up with an intense feeling of a "phantom high" speaks to how emotional residue from dreams can impact your mindset. The combination of stimulation and anxiety demonstrates an ongoing quest for balance between heightened experiences and the grounding nature of everyday life. This amalgamation suggests a need to assimilate the varied aspects of your psyche, pushing you toward introspection.
Conclusion: In summation, this dream encapsulates your journey toward embracing your identity within community and navigating the challenges of self-acceptance amid potential escapism. It reveals fears of disapproval tied to your actions and aspirations while simultaneously expressing a lively quest for connection and empowerment. Reflecting on these themes may provide valuable insights as you continue to explore your own identity and the relationships that shape it.
